Initiative – An eagerness to do something!

Each of us approach “the new” in different ways depending on your personality style, the way you think, or your past experience.   Some embrace the “new-ness” as an adventure and jump head-strong into the new!   For them, “firsts” cause exhilaration, build confidence, uncover possibility, and promote growth!   Others, more comfortable with the proven well-traveled path, aggressively avoid the new! For this group, “firsts” conjure up fear, lead down failure road, and produce a mountain of reasons to not take the first step.  While the present risk may be avoided, so also is the opportunity.

I find myself in the “embrace the new” camp.   This week I formally launch my new business venture, Unleashed Consulting Group LLC, with excitement and brimming with new possibility!

As Robert Frost reflected in his famous poem “The Road Not Taken”…

“Two roads diverged in a wood, and I, I took the one less traveled by, and that has made all the difference!”

Wherever you fall as it relates to “firsts”, I encourage you to embrace the new, the unproven, and take that next step!   Move that idea, intention, or dream from your head or heart into action!  I am confident that “It will make all the difference!”
